One of a kind, the 2009 REX HILL Old Vine Chardonnay has intense, tightly wound aromas of minerals, talc, white peaches, key limes and tangerine that with time reveal deeper aromas of white flowers, plums and wet stone.   The exquisitely balanced palate is succulent and juicy framing complex flavors that include gardenia and lemon curd on the mid-palate and lead to a finish that is piercing and pure.  The richness of the 2009 vintage is offset beautifully by the acidity inherent to the cool climate fruit resulting in an almost unearthly balance and minerality.  Regal and refined, the 2009 REX HILL Old Vine Chardonnay will never be made again and will reward patient cellaring and grow more complex over the next 10-15 years.
