The 2008 REX HILL Reserve Pinot Gris shimmers in the glass, a rich yellow gold. The nose is lush and alluring with aromas of ripe pears, golden apple, flaky pie crust, mango, almond and marzipan and ripe citrus fruits.  On the palate it has the sumptuousness of pineapple juice, the snap of apples and pears, and the sizzle of ginger. The concentration of this wine is given shape by ripe acidity and a juicy tannic structure.  The finish is intense and lasts an unbelievably long time.  The 2008 Rex Hill Reserve Pinot Gris will drink wonderfully over the next five to ten years.
